Child Aid Zomba and Machinga
The project builds on the idea that the people in a community start working together in a structured way. They discuss in common and decide to take actions to solve issues of mutual interest for the community, in particular those that involve the wellbeing and upbringing of the children, so as to create and ensure a safe and conducive environment for the children. The project is reaching out to 9,900 households/ families or a total of 60,000 people organized into 33 Productive Units, each consisting of approximately 300 families forming Village Action Group with 30 family members each.
The Child Aid project in Zomba and Machinga will start implementing the activities on 1st February 2017 in 198 villages from rural areas of Zomba and Machinga districts. The project will end on 31st January 2018. The recruited project staff underwent a two week project implementation training from 7th to 21st February at DAPP Chilangoma TTC Conference Center.
