DAPP project leaders trained in projects management
DAPP Malawi through its Grants Administration department organized a three-day Monitoring and Evaluation, and Project Management orientation for sector leaders, project leaders and monitoring and evaluation officers in all the projects that the organization is currently implementing.
The aim of the training was to equip the participants with relevant knowledge on project tracking, monitoring and evaluation, and management.
The orientation took place at DAPP National Headquarters in Blantyre from 10 to 12 April 2018 and in attendance were education, health, agriculture and community development sector leaders as well as 17 representatives from the on-going projects.
The Head of Grants Administration Chimwemwe Mponya said that the training will improve the projects’ deliveries and quality of reports the projects will be producing attributing that group work during the three-day orientation improved the understanding of the concepts among the participants.
The areas that were covered during the training included; result based monitoring and evaluation, data management, planning and implementation, project reporting and resource mobilization.
Among the participants was the DAPP Malawi’s Programs Manager Moses Chibwana who expresses satisfaction towards the activity saying the actions will be mainstreamed right away in the projects.
DAPP Malawi is implementing 21 projects in 2018 in four key areas of education, agriculture, health and community development.
