DAPP Malawi Library Project
The idea of the Project is to promote literacy among the communities, primary and secondary schools through the establishment of libraries in rural schools. The project aims to promote a reading culture and instil the desire for continued learning among the children, youth and community members in the country.
Targeting to work with 20 libraries, the project will reach out to different age groups from pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and universities. Its activities will achieve increased number of libraries in schools and communities; increased number of library users reached by the library service; improve availability of supplementary reading materials for school going children thereby improving their performance.
