DAPP Mzimba Teacher Training College
The project idea is to train primary school teachers who will be teaching in the rural areas of Malawi where there are inadequate teachers. Teachers who are highly multi-skilled and trained in teaching learners together with the community members for development. Teachers who are professionally well founded to energetically think that pupils in primary school all have the potential to become skilled and productive members of society.
The college was constructed with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and UFF Finland (Phase 1) and DFID UK Aid (Phase 2). It was licensed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in 2013. The first team of 110 female students graduated at the college in November 2016.
