DAPP Relief Aid
The idea of the project is to utilise surplus clothes and shoes items from DAPP Fundraising Retail Shops to benefit either already existing beneficiaries of DAPP projects or people or other vulnerable groups including those affected during disasters.
The project started in January 2020 and the idea is that it will continue for a minimum of 5 years. Annually, it is expected to benefit around 28,000 people in Malawi.
The project also has an environmental friendly impact as the unsold clothes which is already recycled from Europe will be brought to use in the communities.
The donation of clothes to people affected by disasters will increase their resilience in difficult situations, and enable DAPP to be an effective partner in Emergency Clusters through immediate responses to disasters and reach many community members with prevention and recovery campaigns connected to disasters
